Studies show that patients with limited English proficiency (LEP) are at higher risk of harm from medical errors in hospitals. This webinar discusses how to boost safety, quality of care and patient satisfaction in hospitals.
Speakers:
- Cindy Brach, who leads the health literacy and cultural competence activities at AHRQ, will discuss how hospitals can improve the safety of LEP patients using the LEP TeamSTEPPS module, an evidence-based teamwork system to train health care professionals and interpreters.
- Joseph Molinoski, Supervisor of Pipeline Career Services at Palomar Health, will discuss how Palomar Health was able to successfully integrate a language services program into all operations at multiple locations.
