HHS to Hold Meeting on NHAS Progress

On Friday, September 20, from 9:00am – 12:00pm, the Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy (OHAIDP) will host a review of HHS progress made during 2012 to achieve the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS). This event will take place in the Auditorium of the Hubert Humphrey Building, at 200 Independence Avenue SW, Washington DC and will be livestreamed for the public at www.hhs.gov/live.
Participants will hear from the Assistant Secretary for Health, Dr. Howard Koh, as well as senior leadership from Indian Health Service, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration HIV/AIDS Bureau and Bureau of Primary Health Care, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Office of Minority Health, and the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, as well as representatives from non-federal partners including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, AIDS United, and the National Minority AIDS Council. In addition to learning about 2012 implementation highlights, attendees will have a chance to ask questions and engage in discussion.
