The following reports have been added:Data Brief No. 129. Physician Experience With Electronic Health Record Systems That Meet Meaningful Use Criteria: NAMCS Physician Workflow Survey, 2011The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act of 2009 provides financial incentives for physicians who adopt and demonstrate the "meaningful use" of a certified electronic health record (EHR) system. EHR systems that meet the meaningful use criteria have specific capabilities associated with efficient and high-quality patient care. Since enactment of the HITECH Act, nationally representative data about physician experiences with EHRs have been limited. This report describes physician experiences with EHRs, comparing clinical and financial indicators between physicians with and without EHR systems that meet meaningful use criteria.
