AHRQ's 2014 Quality and Disparities Report
Each year, the AHRQ National Healthcare Quality and Disparities Report provides a comprehensive view of the quality of health care received by the U.S. population and disparities in care experienced by different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups. Register now for the National Quality Strategy’s Working Together to Improve Health Care webinar on May 11 from 2:00 –3:00 p.m. ET to learn more about how the findings from the 2014 report support the six National Quality Strategy priorities. The webinar will feature a special focus on improvements achieved in patient safety reported in the AHRQ 2014 National Quality and Disparities Report and the Patient Safety Chartbook.
The National Quality Strategy co-publishes a series of Priorities in Action in step with the Chartbooks, promoting individual organizations improving care in the priority areas described by the corresponding Chartbooks. This month’s Priority in Action features the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, which has reduced its medication safety adverse event rate by 60 percent and serious medication errors by 92 percent in the past 6 years.
