The Opening Doors to Recovery (ODR) Program works with individuals who have serious mental illness, and have had repeated interactions with the justice system. Often these individuals have multiple needs for mental health care, substance abuse care, housing and case management. Nora Haynes will present on how the program got started, and how it works. She will also explain how they successfully partnered with prisons to help individuals returning to communities rebuild their lives. Peer specialist Bill Carruthers will describe his experience as a community navigator supporting clients.
