
Understanding Medicare Session Offered
Virtual Training for Continuing Education Credit (CEU)
The CMS National Training Program presents “Understanding Medicare” for licensed professionals required to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs ). The information is intended for CMS partners and stakeholders who are new to Medicare and/or those simply wanting a refresher.
This session will provide an overview of the Medicare program basics Part A (Hospital insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans), Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage), programs to help people with limited income and resources and information about additional program resources.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is authorized by IACET to offer 0.4 CEUs for this program to participants who successfully meet all course completion criteria, including:
• Completing the registration and save the confirmation with links to access the full curriculum
• Completing the pre-assessment prior to Session 1 on June 17, 2014
• Attending all four hours of the training on June 17th and 18th, 2014
• Completing the course evaluation
• Completing the post-test(s) with an aggregate score of 70% by June 30, 2014.
