This webinar and conference call will discuss how to read your insurance card, how to find a doctor, what you need to know in making an appointment and what to do in case you have a health emergency. CMS invites you to learn about tools and resources available to organizations serving Latino communities to help improve health education and knowledge of resources available through the Health Insurance Marketplace. This webinar will provide an overview of consumer-friendly information on how health insurance works and how to use it – including the Coverage to Care roadmap – and where to find additional resources. CMS commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting a webinar that addresses health disparities and access to care within the Hispanic community. This webinar will highlight the opportunities afforded to millions of Hispanics under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Additionally, it will provide tips to help connect the Hispanic community to coverage and resources to help them understand their coverage and how to use it to achieve better health.
