Upcoming Webinars for Hospitals Interested in AHRQ Falls and Pressure Ulcer Prevention Training
AHRQ is leading a patient safety initiative to help staff reduce the incidence of falls and pressure ulcers in adults in hospital settings using our falls and pressure ulcer prevention toolkits. This federally funded project is offered free of charge to eligible hospitals that apply for technical assistance to implement the evidence-based multicomponent interventions and systems-level transformations presented in the toolkits.
Types of hospitals that are eligible for the project can include: academic/teaching, acute care community, critical access, long-term acute care, rehabilitation, tertiary, etc. Note: Pediatric hospitals are not eligible to participate in this project.
About the Program
Trained hospital quality improvement specialists will work with selected hospitals for 2 years to provide training, technical assistance, and ongoing support via in-person workshops, webinars, and regular conference calls. In addition, the hospitals will participate in a learning network to share experiences, challenges, and solutions.
AHRQ is seeking applications from hospitals that can benefit from this project. To be eligible, your hospital must:
- Have leadership support and a team to drive the project.
- Be able to commit the staff time and resources to participate fully in training, implementation, and sustainment.
- Provide data to track progress on falls and pressure ulcers as requested.
