Cultivating a culture of medication safety in prelicensure nursing students.

Education about safety should begin early in nursing students' development. This commentary describes the design of a program incorporating safety science and safety culture into prelicensure nursing curriculum to enhance their awareness of medication safety from a systems perspective.
