Opioid Overdose Prevention Challenge

SAMHSA invites developers to create an innovative, software-based solution that helps people understand what to do if a family member or friend overdoses on heroin or opioid pain medications.
SAMHSA is hosting a technology-based contest that provides developers and public health professionals the opportunity to develop a technology-based Offender Reintegration Toolkit.
SAMHSA's 10 Regional Administrators provide expertise on behavioral health and information on SAMHSA's programs to federal, state, and other behavioral health service providers within their regions. Region 7 includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. Ms. Brown will be based in Kansas City, Missouri.
A new SAMHSA report indicates about 3.7 percent of America's full-time adult workers age 18 or older (4.3 million Americans) had one or more anxiety disorders in the past year.
This program will support states in certifying community behavioral health clinics. It will also establish prospective payment systems for Medicaid reimbursable services at the clinics.
