Yesterday, Secretary Burwell visited Wisconsin to tour the Chavez Health Center in Milwaukee, host a roundtable to talk about the Affordable Care Act, and meet citizens of Wisconsin who have personally been impacted by the law.
On March 31, 2015, 10.2 million Americans had paid their premiums and had an active policy through the Health Insurance Marketplaces, including more than 183,000 in Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, 9 out of 10 people with coverage received an average premium tax credit of $315 per month to make their premiums more affordable throughout the year. The evidence is clear when it comes to access, affordability, and quality that the Affordable Care Act is Working for Wisconsin.During her trip, Secretary Burwell had the opportunity to meet two Wisconsinites who have been impacted by the law and their new Marketplace coverage.
