Welcome to Day 3 of Health Datapalooza 2015 (#HDPalooza). Yesterday we heard from Dr. Karen DeSalvo (@KBDeSalvo), the national coordinator for Health IT, about a new collaboration with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health and CVS (@CVSHealth) to promote Healthfinder.gov, which provides recommendations about personalized preventive services patients should receive based on their age and gender. June 310:35 a.m. (Lincoln 2) — Erin Siminerio (@epoetter) M.P.H. of ONC's Consumer eHealth group and Vaishali Patel, M.P.H., Ph.D., from ONC's Office of Planning, Evaluation and Analysis, will discuss the Current State of Consumer Access and Use of Their Digital Health Record.
1:00 p.m. (Marriott Ballroom) — Dr. DeSalvo (@KBDeSalvo)will moderate a panel discussion about how State and Local Governments are Using Big Data to Transform Their Health-Care Systems. Also participating in the session are Greg Moody, director of the Ohio Office of Healthcare Transformation, and Michael Nutter, Mayor of Philadelphia.
2:00 p.m. (Marriott Ballroom) — HHS Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell (@SecBurwell) will give the closing remarks for Health Datapalooza 2015.
3:00 p.m. (Washington 1-2) — The Health Datapalooza (#HDPalooza) Blue Button (#bluebutton) Workshop will be moderated by ONC's Consumer eHealth Director Lana Moriarty (@LMoriarty1). The workshop will feature presentations from Steven Posnack (@HealthIT_Policy), ONC's director of the Office of Standards and Technology and Erica Galvez, who is in charge of ONC's Interoperability Portfolio. Gajen Sunthara, a Presidential Innovation Fellow, and Josh Mandel of Boston Children's Hospital will be demonstrating Blue Button's capabilities using FHIR. You will need to register for this session in advance.
