Kurt O’Brien, Director of Organizational Development and Training, University of Washington Medicine, will host a free TeamSTEPPS webinar sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality on May 8, 2013. During the presentation titled "TeamSTEPPS Implementation: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” O’Brien will discuss the University of Washington Medical Center’s approach, successes, and failures in implementing the TeamSTEPPS tools and strategies and offer lessons learned and strategies for success in using TeamSTEPPS to improve patient safety. O’Brien is a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer and an instructor in the University of Washington’s TeamSTEPPS Training Center and has been involved with implementing TeamSTEPPS in the Harborview Hospital System and the University of Washington Medical Center.
