Announcing the 2015 IIMHL Exchange and Conference
The International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership(IIMHL) is a unique collaborative that focuses on improving mental health and addictions services by connecting leaders globally to share innovations and build partnerships with colleagues.
IIMHL is a collaboration of eight countries: Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, and the United States. SAMHSA is a founding member of the Initiative.
2015 Leadership Exchange
September 21–25, 2015
Jointly hosted with the International Initiative for Disability Leadership, this week-long learning event will take place in Canada, in collaboration with the United States, September 21–25, 2015. The Exchange consists of two events: Leadership Matches and the Combined Meeting.
Leadership Matches
September 21–22, 2015
Participants will be welcomed by peers at host sites both in Canada and the United States for focused exchanges and discussions on themes including children and youth, disaster response, and mental health and seniors.
IIMHL Combined Meeting—Accelerating Change Toward Mental Health, Well-Being, and Inclusion
September 24–25, 2015
A combined conference will be held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Participants will discuss how to move the behavioral health field forward by sharing the work being done in each country and by developing ongoing collaborations and action plans.
Because of high demand, registration for the conference is limited to 375 leaders; allocation of seats to each country will be in effect. Leadership exchanges are open to additional attendees, and it is permissible to attend either one or both the leadership exchange and the conference.
