Unfinished nursing care, missed care, and implicitly rationed care: state of the science review.

This review found that missed nursing care is common and appears to be associated with decreased patient satisfaction and higher rates of adverse events. Predictors of missed nursing care include poor safety cultureand increased nursing workload.
