FHA to hold next CONNECT Code-A-Thon at Marymount University, November 7 & 8
The next
CONNECT Code-A-Thon is less than two weeks away! You can register now
for this quarterly event designed to encourage collaboration around the
development of this nationwide health IT initiative at http://www.connectopensource. org/about/events/code-a-thon- november-2012)
Marymount
University will host this event on November 7 & 8, 2012,
8:00AM-5:00PM ET on both days, at their Ballston Center location in
Arlington, VA. It is designed for IT and health professionals, and
students, to collaborate on projects that encourage the development of
creative technology solutions related to CONNECT.
The CONNECT Code-A-Thon lasts for two days and will include presentations
by Federal Health Architecture Director Dr. Lauren Thompson and Dr.
Diane Murphy, Chair of the IT department and an Associate Professor of
IT at Marymount University.
Attendees
at the Code-A-Thon will also enjoy short plenary sessions on various
topics related to CONNECT, and how to effectively implement it in
current health IT environments. Experts will be on hand to provide
details about their experiences with CONNECT in the open source
community, and program personnel will provide insight into current and
future solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to work in groups
with peers on projects they are interested in with little to no
restrictions on direction or goal of the programming.
