The October 1 opening of the Health Insurance Marketplace is just around the corner. Not sure what you need to know? Here are three key things:
- Shopping for health coverage will be easier than ever.In one place and with one application, you can find out exactly what your options for health coverage are. No matter where you live, you’ll be able to use the Marketplace to apply for coverage. Find the Marketplace in your state.
- You may be eligible for lower costs. When you fill out an application, the Marketplace will tell you how much you can save on monthly premiums and out-of-pocket costs, based on your income. You can also find out whether you qualify for free or low-cost programs.
- You will have more control over your options. The Marketplace allows you to compare all of your options side by side and choose the plan that fits your needs and budget. Prices and benefits will be clearly explained to help you make decisions that affect your health care.
Great things are coming October 1 — make sure you’re ready, spread the word, and visit HealthCare.gov to learn more.
