Health Behaviors of Adults: United States, 2008–2010This report presents selected prevalence estimates for key health behaviors—alcohol use, cigarette smoking, leisure-time physical activity, body mass index, and sleep—among U.S. adults, using data from the 2008–2010 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). NHIS is a continuous survey conducted annually by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics. Estimates are shown for several sociodemographic subgroups for both sexes combined and for men and women separately.
